What does holding the push up position do?
- A push up hold at the bottom activates more muscles in your chest and shoulder than a standard push up does. It also helps develop strength and flexibility in your hip flexors, glutes, and hamstrings.
What’s an isometric push up?
- A combination of a plank and a push up, but tougher than both! Hold yourself barely above the floor at the bottom of the regular push up.
