After athletics in school I struggled to find something that really challenged me.
Doing chest and triceps and back and biceps just got boring over time honestly.
Back in 2008 when I first became a personal trainer I had a co worker who was doing some crazy stuff on rings and parallel bars.
I had never seen anything like it before. He was doing strict ring
muscle ups, l sit holds, and handstand walks and I thought it was so cool.
So I walked over to the rings thinking sure I can do that….
…nope. I was humbled that I couldn’t do a ring muscle up.
I was hooked. I loved that there was a component of fitness that was fun and new to me.
I dove all the way and and for the next several years and even until this day.
I took classes, courses, hired coaches and have soaked up as much information as possible.
But all the training and classes I took were really expensive and I always wanted to do things I could practice on my own.
That’s why I created the K2 Calisthenics program.
It’s the combination of everything I have learned in the past decade of
training.
I now have filmed over 1,000 video tutorials and have gymnastic based programming within our app that will guide you through every step of gymnastics/calisthenics journey.
4 days a week we will have a 20-30 minute calisthentics workout in the app.
Every 7 weeks we focus on a new set of skills so you are being continuously challenged.

It's honestly my favorite training program that I offer and I love strength and conditioning.
If you are a strength guy/gal let me fill you in on something that I experimented with.
I had been doing strength cycle after strength cycle, following percentage based programming, dialing in on my nutrition and recovery.
All the things.
But my strength numbers wouldn't change.
To be fair the stronger you get and the more experience you have over the years it's harder to see "gains" which is true.
However...
...when I started picking up my gymnastics programming again my numbers shot up within 3 months.

For the time being we will not be provided a nutrition coaching program.
I'm happy to answer general questions for you until we get our nutrition program rolled out.
Although we encourage our clients to eat a healthy, well balanced diet, we will not be providing nutrition coaching as a part of the at home workout routine.

Katie plays an essential role in supporting the K Squared Community. Not only does she manage all of our social media accounts, but also leads our monthly service projects and works hard behind the scenes to ensure a pleasurable experience for our community.
Katie has a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Physical Education, along with her Nutrition Certification through Precision Nutrition. She has seen tremendous success in her own fitness through K Squared Fitness programming and is now motivated to help others achieve their fitness goals too!.
